YouTube superstar MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) is planning an ultra-private wedding to longtime girlfriend Thea Booysen – a sharp contrast to his famously over-the-top videos. The 27-year-old, who proposed on Christmas Day 2024, revealed his intimate vision during an August 5 Today show appearance.

Donaldson emphasized avoiding fan disruptions:
“Hopefully, very private – not many fans finding the location and walking up.”
The couple envisions a secluded island ceremony with only close family and friends. Booysen confirmed: “We’re not having a big, extravagant wedding. It’ll be intimate.”

The decision surprises fans expecting a spectacle. MrBeast shared:
“My friends thought I’d propose at the Super Bowl. I wanted the opposite – really private.”
Booysen, also a content creator, added their elite team could “quickly plan a wedding” despite busy schedules.

“I want to celebrate with her and spend time with people we enjoy. It’s the ultimate way to take time away.”
