Rose Gray Reveals Secret to 10+ Year Romance with Actor Harris Dickinson

Singer Rose Gray has shared the surprising key to her lasting relationship with actor Harris Dickinson (“The Iron Claw,” “Babygirl”) – and it’s not constant togetherness. The English artists, both in their late 20s, have been a couple since meeting in high school long before their entertainment careers took off.

In an exclusive interview with People, Gray explained their unconventional formula:

“Distance really makes the heart grow fonder. I know that’s classic, but it does. And having your own thing is crucial.”

The “Louder, Please” musician (28) and Dickinson (29) navigate busy schedules – she tours globally while he films major motion pictures – by embracing independence. “Traveling apart has been really powerful,” Gray noted. “It’s been a beautiful ride watching each other blossom.”

Creative Partners Too

Their bond extends beyond romance:

  • Dickinson directed Gray’s “Blue” (2019) and “Afraid of Nothing” (2023) music videos
  • Gray stars as a runaway bride in the cinematic “Afraid of Nothing” visual
  • They share a cat named Misty Blue

Dickinson previously told Hunger Magazine their collaborations thrive on honesty: “We’re so close that we can be very direct. If I had a crap idea, she’d say, ‘No, we’re not doing that.’”

Where They Are Now

Gray just released a reimagined version of “Everything Changes (But I Won’t)” with Shygirl (August 1) and is currently opening for Kesha’s “Tits Out Tour”across North America. Dickinson stars in A24’s buzzy new film “Babygirl.”

Despite their fame, the high school sweethearts maintain a remarkably grounded relationship built on mutual respect and space.
