The singer laughed off her slipping corset mid-performance while celebrating new music that “saved her life” after personal struggles.

Jessica Simpson proved she’s still a consummate performer at 45, gracefully navigating a wardrobe malfunction during her Today show Citi Concert Series performance Wednesday. While singing a medley of hits “I Think I’m in Love with You” and “With You,” the pale pink satin corset-style top she wore slipped on one side, revealing her pink bra.

Unfazed, Simpson addressed the moment post-performance: “Of course, I have, like, a malfunction here and everywhere. But it’s OK. I think my boob stayed in, so that’s good.” The incident occurred during her first major musical appearance since 2010’s Christmas album, promoting her newly released EP Nashville Canyon, Part 1 and upcoming September release Nashville Canyon, Part 2.

Her set blended nostalgic hits with new tracks like “Fade,” reflecting what Simpson called an “incredibly healing” creative process. “I was in Nashville; it was a crazy time for me,” she told Jenna Bush Hager. “My life literally flipped upside down… Music saved my life. Nashville saved my life.”
This comeback follows her January revelation that she and husband Eric Johnson – married 10 years and parents to Maxwell (13), Ace (12), and Birdie (6) – were “living separately and navigating a painful situation in our marriage.”
